A Room With Four Views aka POV VR XXX, 2016

VR experience for Mobile VR

Initially commissioned by POV Paper magazine as a photo editorial, A Room With Four Views ended up as a virtual reality installation and a first of a kind experience from several points of view.

I had never before dealt with porn nor VR in my

practice to that point, so it was quite a challenge and a revelation at

the same time. Shooting in 360° completely changed my way of thinking and looking at what I want to capture and all of my “know-how” when dealing

with a camera and what’s in front of it

(in this case - all around it). From building up the

concept to the final result, there were many exciting

discoveries. Where one of the most relevant for me, back in 2016, was

simulating first person POV in VR while inhabiting

A body that’s not yours.

The four characters I

created, together with their four corresponding

“fantasies” were as many reasons for me (and implicitly

for the audience) to try different skins, genders or

sexual orientations. Also, by trying out the experience in the same physical space

and/or ambiance where we shot the videos created an interesting feeling of reality augmentation.

The experience is meant to be tried by four users simultaneously.
