Manuel Roßner

Wetware (Frankfurter Kunstverein), 2017

VR experience for HTC Vive

Wetware is a site-specific VR-Artwork which shows a dynamically generated liquid that collides with the 3D-Model of the Frankfurter Kunstverein, from where the visitor also enters the piece.

The liquid doesn’t only understand the space it is in, it also interacts with it. By putting the visitor in a surrounding he knows, also the virtual liquid gains credibility. Therefore the artwork is an anticipation of a future when real and virtual melt seamlessly and algorithms interact natural with the same surrounding we live in.
