Jocelyn Anquetil

Dreams of Mundania, 2018

VR experience for HTC Vive, Oculus Rift, Oculus Go

Dreams of Mundania 0.0, 2018 is an early prototype from Jocelyn Anquetil’s Mundania series. An unsettling sci-fi tale that presents a chilling analysis of the millennial disposition and stands as an ode to what it means to be almost-not-young in 2020. The piece follows the tale of a young woman who falls victim to her fantasy of a better life in an ideal world, until one day she vanishes without a trace. Each artefact created acts as a clue, an indicator or an insight into her character, and what could have possibly happened to her. The multidisciplinary project is explored through a number of mediums including photography, film and virtual reality.
